Our team is using the Spanish
Language Institute of San José. It is
located on a lovely campus in San
Francisco de Dos Rios, a suburb of
San José. The Institute provides an
excellent opportunity for learning
Spanish as well as cultural adaptation
to a Latin culture, orientation for health
and family concerns, nursery, and a
K - 12 school for missionary children.
The Institute operates on a quarterly system. You may come in at any level (beginner, intermediate, advanced, superior) and at the beginning of any semester. Classes begin at 7:30 and end at 1 pm. They have chapel services on Tuesday and Thursday during break time which is an encouraging hour for everyone.
The teachers are very kind, patient, warm
and understanding towards their students,
but yet will push you to speak and
understand the language.
We encourage you to attend this language
school due to the fact that you will get to
know Costa Rica as you study the language.
ABWE is taking an active role in the Language
Institue as Paul Collier seves as the president of
the board of directors and Kevin Reilly serves as
the Director of Sojourn Academy.
