PRAYER ITEMS FOR CONGO FOR THE WEEK OF MARCH 8, 2010:
- Please pray for the family and friends of Rev. Joel Mboumba, former church president, as they mourn his death. He passed away Sunday, March 7, after several weeks of illness. He served as church president of the Alliance Church in Congo from the late 1980’s through 2004.
- Please pray for a regional pastors and wives retreat to be held this Wednesday in Pointe Noire. Pray for Paul and Cindy Little, the Congo field pastoral couple, who will speaking at the retreat. Pray that this day will be encouraging and challenging day for those present. Pray that they would leave with renewed vision for their ministry. Pray for the Pointe Noire missionary team as they organize the logistics of the day.
- Pray that the internet connection for our Pointe Noire team would be repaired so that it works well. For several months they have not had a good connection. The internet company has it technicians working to correct the problem.
- We praise God for a good field forum the last week of February and the continuing visit of our pastoral care couple, Paul and Cindy Little. Pray that they would continue to sense God’s strength as they finish their visit with us at the end of this week.
- Pray for Anne Stephens who leaves for her home assignment this Friday. She will be going by way of the Canadian C&MA General Assembly in Turkey. Pray for safe travels and a good start to these months back in Alberta.
